In the Friday (Nov. 22) issue of the Democrat and Chronicle, an article highlighted a few major initiatives being led by MCC’s Economic Development and Innovative Workforce Services. The information came out of a panel discussion on Thursday on how partnerships between academia and industry can grow local workforces. Vice President Todd Oldham, who participated in the discussion, was quoted in the article. Other featured panelists were Mike Mandina, president/CEO of Optimax and president of FAME; Kent Gardner, chief economist and chief research officer with the Center for Governmental Research; and Bob Gerace, instructor and training consultant with MCC Corporate College and adjunct professor at Rochester Institute of Technology.
