Beginning today, MCC's College and Community Relations Department will be known as the College and Community Relations Department, terminology that more clearly reflects the role of the department.
The College and Community Relations Department is responsible for strengthening awareness and understanding of MCC and advancing positive relationships between the college and its various constituencies. Yes, all of us play a role in creating, maintaining and advancing those positive relationships; the College and Community Relations Department brings focus and institutional perspective to the effort. We use a variety of communication strategies in our effort to build relationships and the college's image -- media relations, internal communications, government relations, etc. We hope that our new name -- College and Community Relations -- will more clearly express our role and provide another entry point to the college for the community.
