This interactive and engaging workshop will encourage Non-Traditional Students to optimistically embrace the impact of an exciting, diverse and complex college life by providing them with vital knowledge and practical mechanisms to thrive in college.
To spark the students’ enthusiasm, the presenter will encompass several dynamics to facilitate the absorption, comprehension and assimilation of the following topics:
1. How Non-Traditional Students DO NOT let failure overcome them?
2. The factors that make Non-Traditional Students able to change course and soldier on after a misfortune
3. The ineffable quality that allows Non-Traditional Students to be knocked down by life and come back stronger than ever
4. Novel and proven tactics Non-Traditional Student could apply to effectively face their challenges
5. Should Non-Traditional Students embrace adversity? Why? How?
6. The assembly of Non-Traditional Student’s main resources
7. What accessible methods would Non-Traditional Students utilize to triumph?
Note: Students can sign up in Room 3-103 to reserve a seat , handout and Certificate of Completion, but Walk-Ins are Welcome!
