Shelitha Williams, Featured Panelist in WDKX Women for Women Up Close and Personal Event

Shelitha Williams, Director of Student Engagement, Student Services, DCC, was a featured panelist in the 4th annual Women for Women Up Close and Personal event, held this year on April 25.  The event explored the topic “Celebrating Your Legacy.”  Shelitha participated in the panel entitled “Develop the Legacy” which included professionals discussing strategies to overcome challenges.  Each panelist spoke about their experiences and then answered general questions from attendees.  Shelitha spoke about the value of education and the importance of balancing personal and professional responsibilities.

The panel was moderated by Tracey Miller, Assistant to the Mayor and the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Constituent Services.  The Women for Women program was developed and coordinated by the late Marietta Avery, general manager of WDKX.  Ms. Avery unexpectedly passed away April 14, and was honored throughout the program for her advocacy for women.
