"Achieving Voluntary Compliance: Making Courtesy Common Again" Workshops to be Offered

The College Civility Committee is sponsoring a series of workshops on “Achieving Voluntary Compliance: Making Courtesy Common Again” for all faculty and staff to participate. These one-hour workshops will present tips and techniques on how to properly address acts of incivility and rudeness in our campus community, including in the classroom setting.

Following the training sessions, all participating faculty and staff members will be provided with a specially designed ID card holder/lanyard to be worn on campus to signify completion of this workshop and to identify you as a campus authority. The following workshops have been scheduled. Please RSVP to Linda Williams at <mailto:lwilliams@monroecc.edu> for which workshop you plan to attend. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Friday, October 23rd – DCC at 12:00PM - 1:00PM in Room 4-193

Thursday, November 5th at 3:30PM - 4:30PM in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center (Empire Room)

Monday, November 23rd at 12:00PM - 1:00PM in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center (Empire Room)

Thank you for your efforts in helping to Make Courtesy Common at MCC.

In addition to the above, we would also like to recognize some of the many random acts of kindness that occur on our campus daily. Please forward a brief description of any known acts of kindness to Lee Struble at <mailto:lstruble@monroecc.edu> so we can share with the larger campus community on a more frequent basis.
