Rachael Tachco, Rochester AmeriCorps program coordinator, and Joe McManus, AmeriCorps member, appeared Sunday on R News to talk about how the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act affects the local organization. They were interviewed by Virginia Butler, anchor of R News Morning.
Tachco and McManus also discussed the requirements for becoming an AmeriCorps member and how people can apply.
Tachco is an alumna of Rochester AmeriCorps; McManus is a current member who is placed in the victim assistance unit of the Rochester Police Department.
