The Mathematics Department has significantly revised and enhanced its advising charts: “Which MCC Math Course Should I Take” and “Math Requirements for Degrees” (see attachments).
The charts are available online on the Mathematics Department’s Web page (click on “Advisement”), and they will soon be posted on MCC’s Academic Advising Atlas Web page (click on “Tools & Tips” and then “Mathematics Advising”). In addition, hard copies are in the 3-ring advising notebooks in the Academic Advisement Center.
Last June, a new workshop (ADV 121: Choosing the First Mathematics Course) was piloted to explain the charts and to offer advice and special tips for various scenarios. Additional ADV 121 workshops are anticipated during the academic year. Look for listings in future ADV workshop announcements.
