MCC Alumni Hall of Fame Inductee: Gary Squires '76


The Monroe Community College Foundation’s Alumni Council has selected four outstanding alumni as the newest members of the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame. Jodi Oriel ’93, Hassan Jones ‘92, Gary Squires ’76 and Clayton Turner ‘86 will be inducted into the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame at the MCC Foundation’s 21st annual Salute of Excellence dinner on Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.

Gary serves as president of Manning Squires Hennig Co., Inc, a local construction firm that his father started in 1958. His business has been named one of Rochester’s Top 100 companies numerous times. Squires also serves on the board of directors of the Builders Exchange of Rochester, the Construction Industry Association of Rochester and serves as Chairman of UNICON. Not only does Gary succeed in business, but as a local volunteer. He serves as a trustee of the Seneca Park Zoo Society, the Rundel Foundation and McQuaid Jesuit High School; he is a former trustee of the United Memorial Medical Center Foundation. While at MCC, Gary was a member of the 1973 Tribune’s soccer team.

Gary was nominated by MCC Professor of Business Administration/Economics Renee Rigoni.

The MCC Alumni Hall of Fame was established in 1992 to honor the outstanding achievements of MCC graduates. There are currently 67 members of the hall of fame.
