New Emergency Communication Tool

MCC has adopted a new communication tool to replace SUNY NY-Alert. MCC Alert, powered by Rave, will launch in late April and serve as MCC’s new tool for conveying emergency and other important messages.

Advantages of the new system include:

·         Ease of use. The process of sending an emergency alert is simplified, requiring just a few key strokes. MCC’s designated alerters have trained in the system and report that it is very easy to use.

·         Speed. Among higher education institutions, Rave is the recognized leader in alerting systems because of its ease of use and speed in delivering emergency messages.

·         MCC decides how and when to use the tool. We set the parameters; approvals from an external agency are not required.

More information regarding our transition to MCC Alert and what it means for you is being sent to student and employee e-mail boxes today. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
