The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s mission is to help students of exceptional promise reach their fullest potential through education. The foundation will award approximately 60 scholarships of up to $30,000 per year to students transferring to a four year institution in the fall of 2011.
Information packets are available on the Brighton Campus in the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development, 3-126 and on the Damon City Campus in the Student Services Center, Room 5229.
MCC’s internal deadline for submitting the online application is no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2011. Please be sure to submit everything online. There will be four students selected from each campus.
The Eligibility Requirements are:
-- Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale
-- Plan to transfer to a four-year college or university in fall 2011
-- Be nominated by his or her two-year institution
-- Have an unmet financial need
