2010 Chancellor's Awards Nominations

“The Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence are [SUNY] System-level honors conferred to acknowledge and provide system-wide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement and to encourage the ongoing pursuit of excellence.” Each Chancellor’s award requires that applicants must be full-time employees. This award is intended for “individuals of achievement, committed to the State University and its students, respected by the campus community and worthy of emulation by colleagues and students on the home campus and across the entire System.”

Awards will be given for Excellence in Teaching, Excellence in Professional Service, Excellence in Librarianship and Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities. Due to the prestige of this award, it is recommended that candidates have 10 or more years of service at MCC. Final selection is determined by SUNY.

Applications and criteria for each of the 2010 Chancellor's Awards are now available.  They may be obtained from the Faculty Senate Web site https://web.monroecc.edu/FacultySenate/ under the "Awards and Faculty Leave" category.

Be sure to review the “Tips and Suggestions for Preparing a Chancellor’s Nomination Packet.”

The deadline to submit applications is Wednesday, December 9, 2009, by 4:00 p.m. to Valarie Avalone in Room 1-304 (ext. 3021).
