MCC is trying really hard to help students recognize civility around campus. Civility is something that most students take for granted and it has become a real issue on this campus. The students in SGA would like to host a series of open forums where students, faculty and staff can come and “Talk About Something That Matters”. (see schedule attached)
“Talk About Something That Matters” is co-sponsored by SGA and The Civility Project; Making Courtesy Common and is designed to increase student awareness on issues that affect students and faculty/staff and the campus community on a daily basis. The program is designed to encourage open and honest discussions by creating a safe and nonjudgmental environment for students to talk with each other in a civil manner.
