Save the Date: Beth Zemsky, Power of Diversity Speaker


The Diversity Council is pleased to announce Beth Zemsky as the 5th Alice Holloway Young, Ed.D. Power of Diversity speaker.  Beth is a consultant with HYPERLINK "https://www.oneummahconsulting.com/index.html"One Ummah Consulting, a consulting group that provides multicultural organizational development to, non-profit, educational, and business organizations. Beth has delivered trainings, lectures, workshops and developed curricula at the University, community, professional and corporate levels locally, regionally, and nationally for more than twenty-five years. She has extensive experience working as an educator and community organizer about issues concerning intercultural communication. In addition, Beth has been adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota, Augsburg College, and University of Missouri, Saint Louis.

Beth holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Adult and Community Education from Cornell University and Masters degrees in Counseling Psychology and Social Work from Washington University, Saint Louis. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Diversity Trainer, and she has specialized training in coaching, facilitation, community organizing and work place mediation.

We look forward to welcoming Beth Zemsky to MCC to engage us in the topic of supporting an inclusive environment through keynote presentations and workshops scheduled November 9 & 10, 2009 at the Brighton and Damon City campuses.
