About the authors:

Marjorie L. Crum (Pittsford, NY) is the program chair and a past president of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. In addition to being the owner, head designer, and creative director of her own Happy Creek Studio, she is a graphic design instructor at Monroe Community College. She previously served as an adjunct professor and instructional developer at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Marcia Layton Turner (Rochester, NY) is an award-winning writer who has partnered with numerous graphic designers in her career and has always been fascinated with the design process. Her father is a fine artist, and she has written more than 20 books in her career, many aimed at artists, small business owners, and consumers.
