Downtown Campus Wayfinding Information for June 1-2 and Services Starting June 5

The final day that students, faculty, and staff will be on the Damon City Campus is Wednesday, May 31. DCC Student Services will be open to serve students until 4:45 p.m. All personnel are asked to be finished packing and exit the building by 5 p.m.

Information on picking up keys for the Downtown Campus appeared in The Employee Trib on May 15, 2017. All DCC door entry keys can be left at the 4th and 5th floor Public Safety desks on your way out. No key return signatures are necessary. Please leave file cabinet and desk keys in their respective locks.

Information for Students

On June 1-2, students seeking assistance for admissions, registration, financial aid, and any other service, should go to the Brighton Campus where all offices will be open from 8:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

On June 5, the new Downtown Campus will be open to serve students on the third floor in the Student Engagement Center and on the second floor in Enrollment and Financial Services, with both areas open from 8 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. Parking for people coming to use these services will be available in the MCC parking lot AA, directly across the street from the entrance on Morrie Silver Way.

The DCC Bookstore will be open for book buy-back through Thursday, May 18 until 2 p.m. After May 18, books can be taken to the Brighton Bookstore for buy-back. Textbooks for the fall semester can be purchased at the Brighton Bookstore over the summer. The Downtown Campus Bookstore will open on July 1 and will start selling textbooks on that date.

There will be no summer classes at the new Downtown Campus. However, classes for the fall semester will begin on Tuesday, September 5. If you need to contact a professor over the summer, please use e-mail. Professors' e-mails can be searched alphabetically online at https://www.monroecc.edu/etsdbs/staffdir.nsf/CollegeDir-People?OpenView&Letter=A Please note that all Downtown Campus faculty and staff will have new phone numbers beginning on June 5. Phone numbers will be available on the MCC website.

Information for Faculty and Staff

The Pre-Collegiate programs, Liberty Partnerships Program and Upward Bound, will begin operating at the SUNY Brockport Metro Center on May 22 through August 4. AmeriCorps staff will also operate from the Metro Center at the same time. The best way to contact program directors is via e-mail: LPP - Susan Gunther (sgunter@monroecc.edu); UB - Carmelita Brown-Wallace (cwallace@monroecc.edu); and AmeriCorps - Rachael Tachco (rtachco@monroecc.edu).

Please be advised of the phone scripts provided to leave instructions for callers on how to reach you after May 31 - see attachment.

Over the Memorial Day Holiday, DCC Public Safety will operate on the following schedule to accommodate people needing to come in to pack:

Friday May 26 - the 4th floor desk will be covered from 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and the 5th floor desk will be covered from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Saturday May 27 - the 4th floor desk will be covered from 7:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m.

Sunday May 28 and Monday May 29 - the College will be closed, however staff should still have access via the 5th floor with their ID card.

Tuesday May 30 and Wednesday May 31- the 4th floor desk will be open from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. and the 5th floor will be open from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

On June 1-2, staff shall report as directed by their supervisors. There will be no entry allowed at the Sibley Building or at the Downtown Campus, as contents will be moved from one location to another over the course of June 1-2. Staff will begin to report to the Downtown Campus over the course of the summer as directed by their supervisors.

Faculty may report to the Downtown Campus beginning on June 5 to unpack boxes. However, we ask that you notify Toni Custodio at acustodio@monroecc.edu so that necessary arrangements for garbage pick-up can be made given that building maintenance staff will not be on board yet. Be aware that PCs and phones may not be totally set-up on that date. Please also be aware that the MCC packing cartons provided for the move will be collected and returned to Purchasing for re-use.

Please note that information for ordering business cards and name badges was sent to appropriate team captains and department secretaries having staff at the Downtown Campus. Please contact these individuals if you need further assistance on this matter.

We are about to embark on a new journey for MCC and I want to thank you for your collaboration and flexibility during this transition.
