Last week, we announced in the Trib that MCC was offering the Flexible Spending Rollover Option for the 2014 plan year. This means that the “Use it or Lose it” rule for Flexible Spending Accounts no longer applies and employees may now roll over up to $500 in their FSA’s to the next plan year.
MCC will now offer the Rollover Option for the 2013 plan year as well. So if you have a balance of $500 or less in your Flexible Spending Account this year, you don’t have to run out and buy an extra pair of prescription sunglasses to use it up. You will now be able to roll up to $500 of it over into 2014.
