Advisement and Transfer Services Update

In December, the Transfer Services Office moved to a new location and has now joined Advisement Services in Brighton Campus Spina Administration Building 1, Room 231. The advisement staff welcomes Holly Wynn-Preische, Kathy Baxter and Rebecca Mack to the office.

The office location may have changed, but transfer services have not.  Students will continue to meet with a transfer counselor to discuss the transfer application process, academic preparation for transferring, transfer scholarships, and other resources available to them. The advisor-in- residence program will remain as before and college fairs will be held once a year.

By combining the two offices, students will have a central location to go to for advisement, whether it be for information on a program offered at MCC or for information related to transferring to another school. Advising services will continue as before providing advisement and registration services to students; ADV workshops for faculty and staff; career development classes for students; assistance to the schools as part of the success network; and assistance with school related events and activities.
