Book Discussion: Everything Is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer

The Holocaust Genocide Studies Project and the MCC Libraries will be collaborating again this semester to host a book discussion group, reading Everything Is Illuminated: A Novel by Jonathan Safran Foer. The book is available in the MCC Bookstore.

In the novel, a fictional Jonathan Safran Foer travels to Ukraine in search of Augustine, who may have saved his grandfather from the Nazis. Accompanying him on his journey is Alex, his Ukranian translator, speaking his own hilarious version of broken English. Everything Is Illuminated is an amazing mix of tragedy and comedy and promises to be the source of a very lively book discussion. Please join us!

The book discussion will be held Monday, October 30, during College Hour (12:00 pm to 1:00 pm) in room 2-440 (4th floor of the Brighton campus library).
