Congratulations MCC! You saved 3815 miles during Curb Your Car Week!

Several members of the Sustainability Steering Committee, as well as other faculty, staff and students at MCC, participated in Curb Your Car Week, Oct 3 – 9.   Pictured are SSC members: Brian Managan (far right), Matt Fox (middle right), and Jennifer Hill (far left).  They were joined in their bike commute to MCC by VAPA faculty member Larry Mandelker (middle left).  The event was sponsored by ColorBrightonGreen.org and encouraged individuals to find alternatives to driving for a week, including carpooling, using public transportation, combining trips, walking or biking.
Monroe Community College produced the largest school or employer savings of 3815 miles or 2745 lbs of CO2.  Go to ColorBrightonGreen.org to see full results.  Great job!  Check back later to the ColorBrightonGreen.org website for information on the Spring Curb Your Car Week in May 2011.
