Campus Violence: Bystander Issues & Liability Audioconference

The Student Services Division invites you to an Audioconference on "Campus Violence: Bystander Issues & Liability"
When:  Wednesday, December 3, 2003
        1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Where:  Empire Room
In light of increased violence on campus, National On-Campus Report and Recruitment and Retention have teamed up to provide you with practical advice you need regarding steps bystanders can take for averting violence on campus. Those who hear about or see violence in the making, often do not report the threat or take other appropriate action because they don’t know what to do. Bystanders could help avert campus violence safely if they only knew how. This workshop provides suggested steps colleges can take to better guard against campus violence in order to make campuses safer.

This is a 90-minute audio conference designed to provide you with the background information and actionable ideas you need to move forward.

The presenters are Joel Epstein, Esq., an attorney and advisor to colleges and other attorneys on campus safety and college life and an author of several books on school violence, and Bradley M. Henry, Esq. who often speaks at state and national legal seminars and events in connection with his positions in the Federal Bar Association where he has served as the National Chair of the Younger Lawyers Division.  He has also served in the House of Delegates of both the Massachusetts Bar Assoc. and the Amercian Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.

We hope you will be able to join us.
