Business Leaders Appointed to MCC Foundation Board


Julie Camardo-Steron, Robert Duffy ’75,’88 and Ronald Mead, P.E., LEED AP were appointed to the MCC Foundation Board of Directors for a three-year term. As directors, they will help lead the Foundation’s efforts to support student achievement and promote innovation and excellence at MCC.

Camardo-Steron is president, chief executive officer and owner of
Zweigle's Inc., a fifth-generation, family-owned business that produces sausage, hot dogs and specialty meat products. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Providence College. She serves as chairperson emerita on the Foodlink Inc. Board of Directors and actively supports Golisano Children’s Hospital, MCC Foundation, Susan B. Anthony Center for Women’s Leadership, The Strong National Museum of Play, and United Way of Greater Rochester. She also volunteers at The Harley School and formerly served on the CDS Monarch Foundation Board.

Duffy is president and chief executive officer of the
Rochester Business Alliance (RBA). In addition to earning two degrees from MCC, he holds a bachelor of science degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and a master of arts degree from Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. Prior to working for RBA, he served as New York lieutenant governor (2011 to 2014), Rochester mayor (2006-2011) and Rochester police chief (1998-2005). In May 2012, the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations awarded Duffy the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. The medal honors notable American citizens who demonstrate a life committed to community service.

Mead is vice president of
M/E Engineering, P.C. He earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a member of the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, Rochester Engineering Society, Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology, New York State Society of Professional Engineers, and International Code Council.
