On Friday, October 28th, 32 pre-collegiate students from the STEP and Upward Bound programs at DCC celebrated Halloween and learned about science at the pre-collegiate programs’ Halloween Spooktacular.
In this event, students learned about density by making their own slime, and acids and bases through a Halloween-themed “Witch’s Brew” and a Hidden Halloween Message experiment. Afterwards, pizza and treats were served.
