Richard Warshof Named to Board of Trustees

I am pleased to announce that Richard S. Warshof has been appointed to the Monroe Community College Board of Trustees by Governor George E. Pataki. He fills the vacant seat left by Bob Latella, who resigned and became a trustee emeritus last year.

Mr. Warshof graduated from MCC in 1968 and has been an active supporter of the college ever since. He has served on the MCC Foundation board of directors since 1991 and was inducted into the college’s Alumni Hall of Fame in 1995. His generosity to the college was recently recognized with the naming of the Warshof Conference Center on the Brighton Campus.

Mr. Warshof was a Rochester businessman for more than 30 years, until his retirement from Paychex in 2002 as area vice president and director of marketing. He joined Paychex in 1995, and held positions in marketing and business development. Prior to joining Paychex, he had a 25-year career at Rochester Community Savings Bank, where he rose from retail branch administration to president of the Retail Banking Division.

Mr. Warshof is active in the community, currently serving on the boards of The Center for Governmental Research, Junior Achievement, and as chair of the Monroe Community College Foundation board. He is a member of the Rochester Rotary Club.

Mr. Warshof has an M.B.A. from the Rochester Institute of Technology, a B.A. from SUNY Buffalo, and an A.A. from Monroe Community College.

Mr. Warshof joins the 10-member board, which includes Lori VanDusen, chair; Richard Guon, vice chair; Ilene Flaum; G. Jean Howard; Michael Nuccitelli; John Parrinello; Kelly Ranous; Marcus Robinson; and Wayne Zyra.
