Shatara Farley- Nisbeth, who is enrolled in the SVL 101- Service-Learning Seminar course, was featured in a Democrat and Chronicle article on February 11, 2005 showcasing her service site, The C.A.S.H. Program. Ms. Farley Nisbeth is trained through the C.A.S.H. program to fill out state and federal tax returns electronically for qualified individuals in Monroe County.
“Now in its third year, the C.A.S.H. initiative not only provides volunteers to help low- and moderate-income individuals in Monroe County fill out their taxes but also offers other financial counseling.” James Goodman, D&C reporter.
