Found A Job

Found A Job

I’m writing an article to let you know I will be writing some articles about fall classrooms. I have several topics to cover, including “I Am Not a Mind Reader” and “I Am Not a Construction Worker”.  I haven’t written any articles in awhile so I wanted to be sure you don’t miss them as they will be chock full of useful information. I’ll be titling the articles after David Byrne/Talking Heads songs, movies or albums because there is no good reason not to.

I can tell you now that we are overbooked at the TR 9:30 and TR 11:00 timeslots. If you are waiting for a room change during those phases and haven’t heard from me it’s because I’m waiting for cancellations. I’m also trying to mix and match requests in case someone wants to discard just what someone else wants. That occasionally works and results in me screaming and throwing the master schedule in the air. All 93 pages of it.

If you’ve requested computer lab time for individual dates throughout the semester, you also haven’t heard from me. (I really am working. I swear it.) I’m holding off on these requests so I don’t block a computer lab with misc. requests and thus keep a full semester course out of the room. I’ll do the misc. requests the end of next week for the first week of classes, depending on when the room is needed.

A reminder to email me your room change requests. Please don’t call or come to the office. I have a system and if I scribble down information on the phone or while you are in my office it doesn’t make it into the email flow of room change processing and it becomes dangerous.  I’m on email all day. It’s the fastest, safest way to contact me.

More to come!
