Experience History at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum

The Holocaust Genocide Studies Project at MCC is pleased to offer opportunities for students, faculty and staff to experience the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. -- during spring break (April 10 - 12, 2007).

The museum is America’s national institution for the documentation, study and interpretation of Holocaust history. Participants take advantage of private lecture and discussion opportunities with museum experts, attend a theatrical performance and have time to visit other historical sites within the nation’s capital.

If you know of an MCC student who would benefit from this lifechanging experience, please let him or her know that the Project is offering 18 scholarships* to full- or part-time students. (The scholarships are made possible through generous donors to the Holocaust Genocide Studies Project through the MCC Foundation.) The scholarship (valued at $340) includes air transportation and transfers to Washington, D.C, hotel accommodations, admission to the museum and a ticket to a theatrical performance. Students, faculty and staff who do not desire a scholarship are also welcome to take the trip.

Please call Linda Ingraham at 292.3321 if you or a student you know are interested in the trip. An initial $60 deposit (non-refundable) is required by Feb. 6 to hold your reservation; the final balance will be required by March 6.
