Christine Burton Awarded Rochester Section of American Chemical Society Travel Award

Christine Burton has been awarded the American Chemical Society Rochester Section Travel Award.  This award goes to deserving students who have done research in the field of Chemistry and will be presenting that research at a National ACS Meeting.  Christine’s research, entitled “Measuring Heat of Reaction for NaOH and HCl for a General Chemistry I Laboratory Experiment: Determining the Effectiveness of Container Lids on Heat Conservation and Reproducibility," was performed in the Chemistry Department this past January.  She plans to present her results at MCC’s Scholar’s Day in April, and then again at the 248th American Chemical Society National Meeting & Exposition in August 2014 in San Francisco.  Congratulations Christine!
