Director of Development Mark Pastorella, Monroe Community College Foundation, has joined the recently formed SUNY Planned Giving Committee.
The Planned Giving Committee comprises SUNY planned giving and fundraising professionals whose activities are intended to support SUNY’s aspirations of doubling philanthropic activities across the entire system. The committee was formed to:
Collect and share “best practices” in the promotion and administration of planned gifts among colleagues throughout the system;
Work with the Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Affairs in promoting system-wide planned giving initiatives and improving the position of planned giving among chief advancement officers and campus presidents;
Create a planned giving online resource center available to every SUNY campus; and
Ensure that all SUNY campuses have the ability to promote and accept planned gifts.
By improving and developing the planned giving efforts across SUNY campuses, it is the committee’s goal to see a significant increase in planned giving revenue which will enhance overall philanthropic support for the university.
