Louise Gluck, U.S. Poet Laureate, On Campus

Louise Gluck, United States Poet Laureate
will be on the Brighton Campus.

Louise Gluck was born in New York City in 1943 and grew up on Long Island.  She is the author of several books of poetry.  These include Seven Ages, Vita Nova, Meadowlands and The Wild Iris, which received the Pulitzer Prize and the Poetry Society of America's William Carlos Williams Award.  Gluck's other works include Ararat and The Triumph of Achilles which received the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Boston Globe Literary Press Award, and the Poetry Society of American's Melville Kane Award.
