ETS Technology Training Program: Welcome New MCC Employees!

Welcome to MCC!  We are sure that being productive and efficient is no doubt your number one priority as a new (or not so new) employee at MCC.  We want to help you take advantage of the technology that surrounds you by highlighting a few resources that you can use immediately.

If you are teaching in a technology-equipped classroom and need immediate support with the technology in the room, please call AVAV (x2828) from the classroom telephone and follow the voice prompts.  Help will be on the way.  If you would like a personalized training session to gain confidence in the operation of equipment that is installed in MCC’s classrooms and lecture halls, please contact Philip Oettinger, ETS Instructional Technologies, extension 3439, to schedule a time for training.  Look at Track O: Classroom Technology of the attached “Just in Time” Technology Training Catalog to review a complete list of sessions available on classroom technology.

If you need technology support from your office location, we encourage you to call the ETS Call Center by dialing HELP (x4357).  You will receive an automated message prompting you to choose Option 1 for training requests, help with administrative systems (Banner) or PC software support; Option 2  for problems with PC hardware, peripherals and the network; or Option 3 for telephone support or service requests.  You will be connected to an available ETS Call Center operator. You can also press Option 4 at any point during the voice prompts to leave a detailed message.

Technology training sessions are available throughout the entire year.  For all your training needs, we encourage you to review the “Just in Time” Technology Training Catalog.  You will find Track A: Technology Training for New Employees of particular interest.   You will also find the complete catalog of training attached to this article, or on the MCC Web Page by clicking on the A-Z Index, T,  Technical Training Catalog, ETS.   You will be asked to provide your network password before gaining access to the catalog.  Bookmark it!  You can get in touch with the contact person noted after the description of each session within the catalog to schedule a time for training.

Wishing you a great fall semester!
