Christine Casalinuovo-Adams, Interim Co-Director of Admissions along with other SUNY admissions administrators presented at two workshops for high school counselors at the SUNY Operation Inform programs in October.
On October 11, Christine presented with Tonya Lane Martin Dean of Admissions at Genesee Community College and Erik D’Aqunio, Director of Admissions at Erie Community College. Hosted by the University of Buffalo, the presentation entitled “The Changing Faces of Community College” highlighted the comprehensive student services offered at SUNY Community Colleges.
At Genesee Community College on Oct. 16, Christine co-presented with Bernie Valento, Director of Admissions, from The College at Brockport. The workshop entitled “Focus on Transfers-Student Mobility within SUNY” and offered insight into the SUNY transfer initiative and discussed transfer credit policies, procedures and pathways for transfers within the system. Presenters introduced Degree Works, and focus was given to the high school counselors’ ability to advise students on using credit earned in high school as part of the college selection process.
