Skills Competition Brings CTE and STEM to MCC

Over 170 high school students applied their technology knowledge and skills at the May 1st, Career Technical Education and STEM Skills Competition.  The event consisted of four competitions: sumbot, bridge resistance, bridge design and auto safety.  Schools participating were BOCES 2 WEMOCO, Gates-Chili, Genesee Valley BOCES, Hilton, Honeoye, Morris Knolls (New Jersey), Niagara Orleans BOCES,  Palmyra Macedon, and Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES.  Kudos to the leadership committee who made this a success!

Steering committee members are Teresa Boettrich, Bert Gamory, Maria Karras, Bob Lasch, and Dale Pearce.  We would like to acknowledge the following people for their generous support, hard work, and cooperation;  Jeremy Case, Matt Farley, Bill Horton, Ross Micali, Kristy Mooney-Graves, Eileen Rucinski (FAME), Kristen Reed, Darwin Snow, Kevin Soule, and John Wadach.
