David Salvatore Receives Rochester Police Dept Rosewood Club Award

On Monday December 2, 2013 MCC Public Safety Coordinator David Salvatore was honored by the Rochester Police Department’s Rosewood Command Officers Club at their 63rd Annual Dinner with the “Detective Gordon Hall Award.”  David Salvatore is a retired Rochester Police Dept Investigator.

The Detective Gordon Hall Award is presented annually to an Investigator or Police Officer of the Rochester Police Dept. who mentored young police officers, worked tirelessly on his investigations, was the first to help others when needed and served the citizens of Rochester with distinction.

During the presentation, Rochester Police Deputy Chief Michael Wood stated, “Dave is very humble; from the days of being a (Rochester Police Dept.) coordinator he was always willing to assist anyone, at any time.  From new officers, to supervisors on the midnight shift, Dave always made himself available in person or by phone.  On the job he was approachable and mentoring, but at the same time valued the input of others.  You could always see Dave talking about his cases with others, bouncing ideas around, really working them hard in an attempt to close them.  Highly competent…persistent… relentless…Dave had all the qualities that make a great investigator.”

Upon receiving the award, David expressed how he never solved a case without the help of others.  David retired from the Rochester Police Dept. in 2012.
