Appointment of Jodi Oriel Assistant Director, Campus Center

Please join me in congratulating Jodi Oriel who has been appointed as Assistant Director of the Campus Center.  Jodi has been an employee of the MCC Association Inc. since 1997 as the Program Manager in the Campus Center.

As Program Manager, Jodi served as advisor to the Campus Activities Board, Phi Theta Kappa and the Holocaust Genocide Studies Project.  With her students, Jodi planned educational, social and cultural events for the campus community.  She co-developed the Leadership Institute which received the Innovation of the Year Award by the League for Innovation in Community Colleges in 2001.  As advisor to Phi Theta Kappa, Jodi has guided the chapter very successfully in reaching their goals.  MCC’s Alpha Theta Iota chapter has consistently reached “five star” status under her advisement.  Jodi has coordinated two regional Phi Theta Kappa honors conferences and has presented workshops at both regional and national conferences.  Jodi was the 2001 recipient of Phi Theta Kappa International’s Paragon Award which is presented to an outstanding chapter advisor.

Jodi will continue to be an asset to the Campus Center and the college community as she works collaboratively with faculty and students to bring educationally rewarding programs to the college.  Jodi’s primary responsibilities include serving as advisor to Phi Theta Kappa and the Holocaust Genocide Studies Project, working with a new faculty-in-residence program and assisting in the coordination of the Campus Center's leadership development programs.
