The MCC Admissions Office hosted over 100 counselors from more than 35 local and out-of-county high schools, at our annual High School Counselor Workshops. We would like to thank the following presenters including Matt Hachee, Coordinator of the Honors Program; Christina Izzo and Mark Basinski, Counseling and Advising Center counselors; Mary Mendez Rizzo, Admissions Counselor; Tom Priester, Campus Center Program Coordinator; and Betty Stewart, Campus Center Director. At our Damon City Campus workshop, Dean Barbara Connolly provided the welcome and Jean-Claude Brizard, Superintendent of the Rochester City School District, was the featured speaker. We would also like to thank Rick Costanza, Education Department Chair; and Susan Bender, Service Learning Coordinator for their presentations. An MCC student panel at each workshop highlighted their positive MCC experiences and was a popular feature.
Special thanks is extended to all of the Admissions Counselors who assisted with these workshops, Barb Smithgall for coordinating the workshops, and Corinne Mulhall, DCC Student Services, for gathering the DCC student panelists.
