Samite: Soul of Africa

Don't miss Ugandan musician and storyteller Samite, accompanied by percussionists Mar Gueye and Jeff Haynes, this Friday, April 25, 2008, from 6-8 PM in the MCC Theater in a program planned by the MCC Global Interest Group. MCC students will be involved in several aspects of the program itself and behind the scenes, so please invite your friends and family to attend. The event is free and open to the public with parking in Lot F.

MCC students are also invited to a College Hour workshop with Samite this Friday, April 25, from 12-12:50 PM in room 12-129 to hear him talk about his music and life experiences, with an opportunity to ask him questions.

These programs have been funded with the generous sponsorship of the MCC Counseling and Advising Center, MCC Creative Arts Committee, MCC Educational Technology Services, MCC Liberal Arts Division, MCC Student Services, Rochester Afghan community, Rochester Ethiopian community, and Rochester International Council.
