"Advanced Networks for E-Learning"


On Tuesday, January 21st, ETS and the Distance Learning Committee will be co-sponsoring the teleconference "Advanced Networks for E-Learning" produced by READY2NET in cooperation with the University of Hawaii.

The Host is Kenneth C. Green, Founder & Director, The Campus Computing Project.

Join us for an exciting program and discover how teaching and learning, access and interaction are being transformed by high-speed networks and innovative pedagogy. Our guest panelists will explore Next Generation Advanced Networks updates in the US and overseas. Learn about Internet2 applications as well as how communications satellites are transmitting digital video directly to servers. Is this the end of TV as we know it? Virtual Reality and Telemedicine are among the most innovative applications of Advanced Networks. Learn what teams of universities and medical practitioners are accomplishing in virtual human research and health care.
