Important: Inform your students, Late starting courses and Financial Aid

As you know, the amount of your financial aid is dependent upon the number of credit hours in which you are enrolled and attend each term.

·        Financial aid regulations require that aid may only be distributed to students who are attending classes.
·        To comply with these regulations, you must attend all of your classes in order to qualify for your financial aid.

·        In summary, your financial aid won’t fully pay until attendance has been fully confirmed.
If you are enrolled in one or more late starting courses for the current semester, please be aware that decisions for canceling late start courses occur just prior to the beginning of the course.
·        If your late start course is cancelled due to low enrollment, your financial aid package will be adjusted.
·        An adjustment of your financial aid may result in a student owing a balance to MCC.
·        Please be aware that you may have limited course options when trying to replace a cancelled late start course.

If you have further questions or concerns about late start courses, please feel free to contact your advisor, or the Registration & Records Office (292-2300) or via e-mail at: <<mailto:registrationoffice@monroecc.edu>>.
