WMCC Broadcasts from NYC!

Rainbow Radio, a weekly program on WMCC,  broadcast  its show, Saturday, March 7th, on WIBS in New York City. This past weekend, a number of WMCC students traveled to the Big Apple for an Intercollegiate Broadcasting conference. Students attended a number of workshops about managing a college radio station, planning events, operating equipment, broadcast writing, and improving their on-air talent. A select few were awarded the opportunity to broadcast their shows on WIBS, from NYC. Three of WMCC’s students: Andrew Dresang, Kashmir Stearns, and Brandon Webb-Fezer landed a one-hour shift, Saturday afternoon. You can hear excerpts from this special NYC edition of Rainbow Radio during their weekly program on WMCC The Fuse, Wednesday, March 11th, at noon. The Rainbow Radio crew are also expected to talk about some of their experiences in NYC. You can listen live from WMCC’s home page by going to the A-Z Index, select WMCC, and click on the Listen Live link on the left hand of the page. We hope you’ll tune in and congratulate these students on a job well done!
