Welcome to Dr. Dianna Phillips, Dean of Technical Education

I am pleased to announce that at the October 10, 2005 MCC Board of Trustees meeting, the Board appointed Dr. Dianna Phillips as our new Dean of Technical Education.

Dr. Phillips is a seasoned academic administrator and leader with over ten years experience working with technical education and workforce development.  As the Director of the Center for Workforce Development at Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES, she has provided leadership and operational direction for a staff of sixty-five individuals in four divisions with a budget of $4 million.

She has served on the Workforce Development Board and has created the only One Stop Center in a BOCES facility.  In the Spring of 2005, this facility was awarded the Best One Stop in the State Award from the International Association of Workforce Professionals.  While in the Navy, Dr. Phillips was a Communications Specialist, achieving the rank of Petty Officer First Class, holding top secret clearance.  She was a Visiting Assistant Professor in Jacksonville, Florida, where she administered a baccalaureate degree program in Workforce Education and Development.

Dr. Frank Rinehart will continue serving as Interim Dean until Dr. Phillips joins us in mid-November.
