Marie Fetzner, Assistant to the VP, ETS, and ETS liaison to the Damon City Campus, co-facilitated a Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C) ten-day online workshop entitled Retention Strategies in Online Education. Ruth Bennett, from the Communication department at Western Carolina University, was Marie’s co-facilitator. Over 50 individuals from across the country participated in discussions on online retention best practices using Sloan-C’s Five Pillars of Quality framework: Access, Scale, Learning Effectiveness, Student Satisfaction and Faculty Satisfaction.
MCC is a member of Sloan-C and Marie serves on the editorial board of Sloan-C’s Journal of Asynchronous Learning Networks (JALN). Additional information on Sloan-C can be found at: https://www.sloan-c.org.
