I'm pleased to share that MCC's 2012-2013 Operating Budget ($122,309,000) passed the Monroe County Legislature on Tuesday evening, August 14, with unanimous support. The County, our local sponsor, increased its support by 2.8 percent or $500,000 over last year.
Prior to the meeting, I received positive comments from members of both parties regarding MCC's value to our community and our budget advocacy process. The attached advocacy document provides additional information on our operating budget and the County’s contribution.
Please join me in extending appreciation to Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Heze Simmons and his staff for their excellent work on budget preparation.
