Alternatives for Battered Women Wins the Jackpot

The Vegas Night Charity Event that was presented by Campus Activities Board on March 11th was a HUGE success! There were over 150 people in attendance. Several tables had people waiting in line. President Flynn’s table was very popular and always packed. Thanks to all of our celebrity and volunteer dealers and everyone who helped support this worthy cause.

Including the money raised from the Challenge leading up to the event, the total amount raised was $2,277! All of this will be donated to the local women's shelter, Alternatives for Battered Women, an organization that houses and protects women and their children who have been victims of abuse.

Students from Campus Activities Board will be presenting the check to representatives from Alternatives for Battered Women on Thursday, April 7th at 2:00 pm in the Atrium of the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center, Building 3. The presentation should only last about 15 minutes. Campus Activities Board is extremely proud of their fundraising accomplishment and would love to have members from the college community join them at the presentation.
