Dr. Michael Keefer to Speak Today on Advances in AIDS Research


The Peer Mentors invite the college community to attend part two of their program, “The Beginning… AIDS. The End… the Cure,” co-sponsored by Health Services, Action for a Better Community, AIDS Rochester and the University of  Rochester Medical Center, today, November 29, 2006 in the Warshof Conference Center (Monroe B) at noon.

The guest speaker will be Dr. Michael Keefer, a professor of medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, who has over 17 years of experience in the preventive HIV vaccine field. He has served as Director of the University of Rochester HIV Vaccine Trials Unit since 1991.

In conjunction with this program, the AIDS testing van will be on campus today in Bldg. 3, Rooms 116, 117, 118 and 119. This is co-sponsored by Action for a Better Community.  All testing is confidential.
