Final Reminder for MCC's Third Annual Scholars' Day: Call for Participation Deadline is Monday, Feb. 14

As always we are looking for proposals from any interested faculty and student, and we especially encourage faculty and staff to support and promote submissions from their talented and interested students.

For the second year in a row, there are competitive  scholarships made possible by donors to the MCC Foundation available to participating students.

Please visit our website (https://web.monroecc.edu/scholarsday) for more information, examples of previous student and faculty/staff abstracts, as well as a link to the online submission form.

This year's keynote address will be given by Dr. Barbara Ehrenreich, world-renowned journalist, social critic, and author of the best-selling Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By In America, and Bright-Sided: How Positive Thinking Is Undermining America.

MCC's third annual Scholars' Day will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011.

The purpose of Scholars' Day is to showcase work of the college's students and faculty. Members from every discipline are welcome to submit proposals. Presentations may take many forms, including traditional presentations, panel discussions, poster sessions, demonstrations, performances, etc.

We encourage you to take part in this year's celebration of academic achievement.
