Valarie Avalone, director of planning, recently represented Monroe Community College in a panel discussion on accreditation at the New York State Community College Business Officers Association’s (CCBOA) spring conference in Watkins Glen, NY. The session, facilitated by Deborah Moeckel, assistant provost for community college education at SUNY, focused on community colleges’ recent experiences with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education accreditation processes.
Ms. Avalone is MCC’s Accreditation Liaison Officer and has co-chaired a self study report, a periodic review report and the college’s successfully-accepted progress report.
