Are You a Smoker?  Do You Know Someone Who Smokes?

If yes, did you know that Thursday, November 18, 2010 is the Great American Smoke Out? Why not join others and stop smoking on this day? It would be a great present to yourself and your loved ones if you or the smoker you know, stopped smoking.

The American Cancer Society is marking the 35th
Great American Smoke Out on November 18 by encouraging smokers to use the date to make a plan to quit, or to plan in advance and quit smoking that day.

Information from the CDC states that smoking is the leading preventable cause of death in the United States, killing more than 400,000 Americans every year. One out of every two long-term smokers will die from a smoke-related disease.  Let’s stop this from being you or someone you know and care about.  Think about quitting smoking now.

For more information on quitting smoking go to
