The ESOL and Foreign Languages Department invites the College community to this year's Fall Foreign Film Fest starting on October 30.

Thursday, October 30
"Amelie" Comedy in French, 2001, set in the Parisian neighborhood of Montmartre.

"Bread and Tulips" Comedy in Italian, 2000, set in Venice.

Thursday, November 6
"Nueba Yol" Comedy in Spanish, 1995, about a Dominican immigrant and his first contact with New York City.

"Nowhere in Africa" Drama in German, English and Swahili, 2001, about a Jewish family that emigrates to Kenya in 1938.

"The Revenge" Comedy in Polish, 2002, about the feud between two neighbors in XVII century Poland.

"Shall We Dance?" Comedy in Japanese, 1996, about a middle-aged Japanese man that signs up for dance lessons.

All events will take place in the Monroe Rooms of the Campus Center. Arrive at 6:00 p.m. to mingle and enjoy some ethnic nibbles and food sampling. The films will be introduced at 6:30 p.m. Two films will be shown concurrently on each of the specified dates. All films have English subtitles. The Foreign Film Fest is free and open to the public.
