Prior to graduating in June, Phi Theta Kappa Chapter President Elizabeth Kennedy ’13 told the MCC Board of Trustees that she hoped to change high school students’ perceptions of MCC as a place for underachievers. Writing a speaking out essay was a first step. Her essay, “MCC changed my view of two-year schools,” was published by the Democrat and Chronicle on July 8.
