Do you know a former student who has achieved impressive professional success, while giving back to his or her community and alma mater? Would that person’s story inspire current students? If so, please nominate him or her for the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame!
This summer the Monroe Community College Foundation’s Alumni Committee will evaluate nominees based on professional, personal and civic excellence as well as service to MCC and/or the MCC Foundation. Last year we inducted three outstanding community leaders and the members of MCC’s First Class into the Hall of Fame, all of whom were nominated by a member of the MCC community:
- Charles Benoit ’84, Author and Senior Copywriter and Producer, Dixon Schwabl. Nominated by MCC Foundation Director Lauren Dixon, Chief Executive Officer, Dixon Schwabl
- Dawn V. Borgeest ’76, Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, United Way of Greater Rochester. Nominated by MCC Foundation Director Diana Lauria, Manager of Planned Giving, United Way of Greater Rochester
- Deborah C. Stamps ’97, Ed.D., Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. Nominated by MCC Department of Nursing Chair Cheryl Mahoney
This year’s inductees will be honored at the MCC Foundation’s 23rd Annual Salute to Excellence celebration on November 15. It’s easy to nominate an alumna or alumnus: simply fill out the attached form and return it to the MCC Foundation, submit your nomination online or contact Karen Shaw ’78, Alumni and Annual Giving Coordinator, at x1500 or kshaw@monroecc.edu.
